for members of the Nationalities Council of Indiana, Inc.
- Thank
yous are in order this month to many NCI members and friends. First, thank you Gene Maresca for
accepting the challenge to host an NCI booth at the Pike Township
Multicultural Fair � with just three days� advance notice. Second, thank you David Russell for
reviewing our proposed contract with The Promotion Company. And, thank you to Terry Yen for
inviting me, as NCI president, to attend the first annual meeting of the
Asian American Alliance of Indiana, and to members of the American Indian
Council for including me on their agenda to talk about the International
Festival. Naty Dumaual will be chairing the meeting on 9 April, as I will
be just returning from a trip to Jordan that day. Please plan to be there
and meet Pat Hubley, who will be our contact at The Promotion Council for
the festival. If you want to know what�s happening with that event, come
and hear for yourself!
- Have
you paid your dues for 2001? If not, do so before or during the April
meeting.
- Becoming
a dues-paying member is not only important to our �clout� in the
community, it affords you a better slot and lower fee for participation in
International Festival 2001!
- If
your group is a regular or associate member of NCI, have you named a
delegate to attend meetings in 2001? If not, select someone NOW to attend
the April meeting and then decide who the permanent delegate for 2001 will
be.
- Everyone�member
or not-- is welcome to attend NCI general meetings on the second Monday of
each month (except December and January). You don�t have to be a member to
come � but we actively seek and welcome new members.
- Although
The Ethnic Hoosier goes to all who are interested, this supplement
is designed just for NCI members.
- Website
