Sarah Archer will not be in country.�
However, our February 25 speaker, Cyrus Reed, will take her place.

SARAH ARCHER, DrPH, RN
Topic:
CIVIL-MILITARY INTERFACE
Dr. Archer is currently a
private contractor with Battle Command Training Program (BCTP) based at
Leavenworth, KS, a Visiting Fellow at the Hudson Institute in Indianapolis and
a visiting faculty member at the following: Joint Forces Staff College,
Norfolk, VA; Joint Special Operations University, Hurlburt AFB, FL; Marine
Command and Staff College, Quantico, VA, and Army Command and General Staff
college, Fort Leavenworth, KS.� She also
is a member of our Committee.
Her expertise is bringing
humanitarian assistance organization to BCTP, which has been used for field
training assistance in disasters and peacekeeping operations (PKO), consequence
management and war fighting.� In 2000
and 2002 she worked with NGOs in Sarajevo, BiH and visited US-SFOR troops at
Camp Eagle in Tuzla.� In 2001 she
visited IOs and NBOs in Kosovo in preparation for training US-KFOR troops.� She serves as a humanitarian assistance and
public health subject matter expert at the African Crisis Response Initiative
and has participated in brigade-level training of military peacekeepers in
Dakar, Senegal 9-10/01, 7/01,10-11/01 and in Kenya 4/01,10/01, and 6/02.
Her moniker is: public health
nurse.� She received her doctorate at
University of California, Berkeley in 1973 between anti-war
demonstrations.� Sarah earned her B.S.
at IU in 1960 and masters at University of Michigan in 1964.
Our moderator will lengthen her
activities.� Needless to say we will be
looking at U. S. policy and actions from a perspective I never considered
before meeting Sarah.
