Lucis Trust

Approx. 1919-present
"On June 30, 1895, a mysterious figure dressed in a turban entered the home of fifteen-year-old Alice Bailey and prophesied that she would work for 'higher powers' some day. And sure enough, after a brief stint at Helena Blavatsky's Theosophical Society in Hollywood fifteen years later, she began receiving psychic communiqus from Master KH (Koot Hoom), an 'ascemded master,' and published them under her own name. Her popularity eventually led to two occult organizations, the Lucifer Trust and the Arcane School, which were devoted to bringing about a 'New World Order' comprised of one religion and one government." [Paul Young, L.A. Exposed: Strange Myths and Curious Legends in the City of Angels (New York: Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Griffin, 2002): 181]. Presumably, both became the Lucis Trust, founded in 1919 and still active (in 2002).
