Mankind United
Aprox. 1934-9
"Arthur Bell, a fairly well-known sci-fi writer of his day [1930s], came to the conclusion that there were two warring factions of 'invisible' aliens living on Earth -- good ones and bad ones. Bell, of course, had the ability to 'see' such aliens and spent much of his time running around telling the good aliens where the bad ones were so that they could use their 'particle beam weapons' on them. Consequently, the Mankind United Church became the first Alien Busters of the twentieth century. But before anyone could join and set off on a life of alien disposal, he or she had to donate all his mterial possessions -- cars, homes, clothes, everything -- to the church as an act of faith."
