In 1989, he joined the staff of Saudi Arabia's Information Office in Washington, D.C. as a Senior Information Officer, supervising the collection and dissemination of information about the Kingdom. He subsequently became a senior research analyst, responsible for U.S. domestic political issues and the monitoring of news reports.
