Kay Hewitt-Hoag

Hoag is the Political Action and Advocacy Committee co-chair of NNELL. She earned a bachelor's degree in French at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and a master's degree in elementary education from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. In addition to being a presenter at several state and regional conferences, Hoag has led workshops for school districts, colleges and state Departments of Education. she has published numerous scholarly journals and holds many honors.


For nearly 25 years, Hoag has taught at every grade level. Her subjects have included French, math, social studies and reading. She currently teaches French to kindergarten through second grade at Lexington Elementary School in Lexington, SC.
