Pious Union of St. Joseph

"The Pious Union of St. Joseph was founded in Italy by Blessed Louis Guanella in the year 1912. Pope Pius X stated the goals of the association in simple terms: that all priests remember the dying in the Divine Sacrifice, and that all the faithful, especially religious, accustom themselves to raise up special prayers to God and to St. Joseph for the dying.
"Around the world, nearly one million registered members have promised to pray daily for the suffering and the dying. More than 30,000 member priests have promised to celebrate one Mass per year for the intentions of the Pious Union.
"Pope Pius X was the first worldwide member, and since that time, every Pope has become a member. Retired Bishop Kenneth Joseph Povish, of the Diocese of Lansing, Michigan, was the first American member.
"To join...begin praying daily for the dying:
"O St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus and true spouse of Mary ever virgin, pray for us and for the suffering and dying of today.
