Dr. Wilfried Prewo is Chief Executive of the Hannover Chamber of Industry and Commerce and is a Senior Fellow and board member of the Centre for the New Europe, a pro-market think tank headquartered in Brussels. Dr. Prewo holds a Ph.D. in economics from Johns Hopkins University, and is an influential voice in the German Christian Democratic Party. For the last decade he has emerged as one of the most thoughtful and articulate critics of the welfare state in Germany and Europe.
