2003 Annual Report: Indianapolis-Piran Sister City Committee

 

     Hosted Bojan Gogala and Matjaz Kriznar, GEA College students, during two-month internship at Kroger Company.

     Conducted annual meeting program with Prof. James Divita, Marian University as speaker with welcoming reception for GEA students.

     Hosted and assisted logistics for Father Zorko Bajc, parish priest of Piran during participation in 2003 Slovene Fest and Bishop Baraga Days.

     President attended 2003 Sister Cities International Annual Conference in St. Louis and the Elkhart, Indiana Sister Cities Association annual retreat. Members attended two regular and annual meetings of Indiana Sister Cites, Inc. at The Athenaeum.

     Participated and made financial contribution to 2003 Slovene Fest.

     Assisted in Universal Children�s Day program at Haughville Public Library.

     Vice President made trip to Piran to meet with municipal officials.

     Participated in opening ceremonies of new Haughville Public Library and contributed toward expenses of fireplace.

     Participated with Slovenian Cultural Society in 2003 International Festival.

     Conducted summer pitch-in program at Slovenian National Home with Prof. John K. Cox, Wheeling Jesuit University, as speaker.

     Continuation of e-pen pal program between IPS 46 and Secovlje schools.

     Conducted regular business meetings at Slovenian National Home and Bockhold Hall of Holy Trinity Church.
