The Exposition Hall at the State Fairgrounds took on a global feel Thursday as performers representing Germany, Japan, West Africa and the Philippines kicked off the 2003 International Festival. The event, in its 28th year, is sponsored by the Nationalities Council of Indiana and features food and performers from nearly 50 cultures. The festival runs through Sunday.
