Presidents Message..Zdravo, prijatelji !

Hope everyone had a good time at the Winter Gala! A special thanks goes to Susan Salenda, Nati Dumaual and Ahmet Fer for creating an enjoyable environment. While I could not stay the entire time, the food was good and raffle items were plentiful.

NCI members are cordially invited to the Indianapolis-Piran Sister City Committee Annual Meeting, 7 February at the Haughville Library (see the calendar). The main attractions will be Ahmet Fer, NCI first vice president and president of American Turkish Association of Indiana (ATAIN), speaking on Turkeys relationship to the Balkans and to former Yugoslavia republics- and wonderful potica for internal consumption to celebrate the annual Slovene Day of Culture!

In conclusion, a timely haiku by Horiuchi Toshimi for contemplation:

Winter well:

A bucketful

Of starlight.

Na svidenje v februar / See you in February!
