Festival season is well underway�.see the world in Indiana!

 

July/August: Slovak, Swiss, Serbian, African, Italian, Scottish, Filipino.

September/October: German, African, Italian, Scottish, Irish, Hispanic, Slovenian, Viking, Ethnic Expo (Columbus), Native American, historic French re-enactment.

November: Our very own International Festival takes place right here in Indianapolis!

Be sure to mark your calendars for International Festival 2004 in the Exposition Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1200 East 38th Street, Indianapolis. We're inviting schools and other student groups from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5. The general public is welcome from 2 - 9 p.m. Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 6 and noon to 6 p.m. Nov. 7.

In memoriam�

 

Robert D. Orr, former governor of Indiana and former ambassador to Singapore, died 10 March 2004. He was instrumental in many Hoosier international initiatives, including the Japan-American Society of Indiana , which presented him with the Bridge of Friendship � Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.
