Did you know�.

 

A luncheon in honor of Dan Coats, U.S. Ambassador to Germany, has been rescheduled for 23 September in Indianapolis? (Its original date of 8 April was a war casualty.)

 

Sen. Richard G. Lugar has been tapped as Indy's 2003 International Citizen of the Year?

 

Steven L. Tuchman has been confirmed as honorary consul for Denmark in Indianapolis? He is an attorney with Lewis & Kappes.

 

Mayor Bart Peterson announced appointments to the Mayor�s Commission on Latino Affairs? New members are Jay Cox, real estate broker;Margarita Galloso, Latino Resources Roundtable;Mario Garcia, Hispanic Center;Brandon Hightower, member, Mayor�s Youth Council;Anita Owens, Farm Bureau Insurance;Elizabeth Petruce, St. Vincent�s Hospital, andClaudio Trincado, inspector, Department of Metropolitan Development. Ricardo Gambetta, the mayor�s director of Latino Affairs, serves as executive director.

 

Alfonso W. Gatmaitan is the new chief executive officer of Clarian West Medical Center in Avon? His father emigrated from the Philippines.

 

A business profile of Alexander Krivozus and Edward Pekarsky, both from Ukraine, appeared in The Indianapolis Star 4 April? They own Micro X-Press in Indianapolis.

 

Indy's Global Gifts, an International Festival participant, is profiled in the June issue of Indianapolis Monthly? It is part of a network of 200 non-profit shops in the U.S. featuring jewelry, decorative items, textile and artwork from more than 30 nations.
