Presidents Message.

Well, we're almost there! This year's Festival is even bigger and better than last year, with 15 food booths, stilt-walkers balanced eight feet in the air, entertainers and vendors representing nations from all over the world ( except maybe Antarctica).

We have cultural booths from all over, where you can meet people, talk to them, learn a little about them as people like you and me, not just pictures in National Geographic. Maybe even get in touch with your own roots.

The best part of the show is the part no one sees, even though it is right before them: it is people from all the various races, cultures and religions of the world working together to put on this festival. This is the hidden message: We all can live together. Work together. Have fun together.

Join us at the International Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, 6 November; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 7-8 November, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, 9 November, in the Exposition Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 East 38th Street, Indianapolis.

There is still time to get discount tickets at Key Bank branches, but they're also sold at the door.
