NCI Update
Plans for this years International Festival are well underway. The entertainment schedule is almost complete, but there are a handful of spaces left for food booths and merchandise vendors. Ethnic groups are putting the finishing touches on their cultural displays, and everyone is getting ready for the opening ceremonies featuring Mayor Bart Peterson and his wife, Amy Minick Peterson, at 10 a.m. on 31 October!
And, speaking of Mayor Peterson, dont forget to complete your nomination of the Nationalities Council for his annual Celebration of Diversity Award. Download the form from the internet (http://www.indygov.org/mayor) or call 317:327-3601 to ask for one to be mailed to you. The deadline is 15 October, so you need to get that nomination turned in well before our own celebration of diversity begins at the end of this month!
