The DANESH Institute has been approved by the United States Internal Revenue
Service as a 501(c)(3) independent, nonpolitical, not-for-profit educational
organization. The Institute's primary purpose is to promote scholarly studies
related to Iranian communities abroad, particularly the United States. Members
of the Institute's current Board of Directors are Irene Queiro-Tajalli
(President), Indiana University--Indianapolis; Mahvash Hariri (Treasurer),
Independent Scholar; Cyrus S. Behroozi (Executive Secretary), Indiana
University-- Indianapolis; Ebrahim Fakouri, Indiana State University; Mary
Elaine Hegland, Santa Clara University; Patricia J. Higgins, State University of
New York--Plattsburgh; Yahya R. Kamalipour, Purdue University--Calumet; Ali
Akbar Mahdi, Ohio Wesleyan University; Kazem Tehrani, Portland State University;
