We also collected money and items to be sent to the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan. Here is a message from Mabuhay! Philippine Cultural Center:

Good morning all,

PCC would like to thank you for collecting donated items to be shipped to the Philippines.

We had a total of 14 boxes sent through LBC via Jason Paro. I have receipt and will post on our website. The free shipping is done.

We thank you for taking your time in remembering the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

I would like to extend my thanks to those who shared their time thanksgiving night to box all the donated goods. There are still people who wish to donate but I will have to see if free shipping will be available again.

Again, thank you for taking part in this humanitarian efforts.

God's Blessings back to you,

Maria

Thanks to all who participated!

We also have an opportunity to join one of our member associations, the Polish Cultural Society, for their Three Kings Festival:

You are cordially invited to the celebration of the Feast of Three Kings, or Epiphany

On Saturday, Jan.4th at 3:30 PM

At the Latvian Center

All are welcome to join us for an afternoon of singing carols together. As we sing carols we will “build up” a nativity scene, so please, wear the costume of an angel, a shepherd or your country’s national costume to be part of the scene.

Also, please think about a carol from your country that you would like to sing during this event. If you have any musical instruments, please bring them along with you. We will make a joyful noise!

Please, bring your favorite cake, cookies, or sweets to share so that all of us may have something sweet to munch on.

The event is free, but we will ask for free will donations to cover costs of this event.

We look forward to seeing you for this happy celebration in honor of the Three Kings!

The Polish Cultural Society of Indiana.

Lastly, I want to thank the Officers, Board of Directors, ethnic group members, and sponsors, as well as the Promotion Company, our event managers, for their support, hard work, and commitment to NCI. It has been a pleasure and a privilege serving you!
