Happy July 4th!!!
Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
Families often celebrate Independence Day by hosting or attending a picnic or barbecue and taking advantage of the day off, and in some years, long weekends to gather with relatives. Decorations are generally colored red, white, and blue, the colors of the American flag. Parades often are in the morning, while firework displays occur in the evening at such places as parks, fairgrounds, or town squares.
NCI will be participating during Penrod Arts Festival at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the German Festival.
Volunteers are needed for these events. Please let me know and email me at [email protected].
Thank you for all that you do for NCI and your continued support.
I forward to meeting everyone in the upcoming NCI meeting July 11, 2011.
