Mr. Shemdin is the Kurdistan Regional Government Representative to the United States since 1997.
Mr. Shemdin has an MBA from the American University in Beirut and a BS degree in business administration from Al-Hickma University, Baghdad, Iraq.
He speaks Kurdish, English, Turkish, Arabic, and some French, and has resided in Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, Canada, and now lives in Silver Springs, Md.
In the course of his duties he has visited Jordan, Egypt, Syria, France, England, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, Thailand and Singapore.
