PACERS Education Days

LET YOUR STUDENTS EXPLORE THEIR WORLD - RIGHT HERE IN INDIANA!

Brought to you by Pacers Sports & Entertainment, special "Education Days" Thursday and Friday, November 20 & 21 from 10AM - 2PM, allow students to learn about diversity and explore their own ethnic roots. Students travel the festival using Student Passports provided by the Nationalities Council of Indiana & Pacers Sports & Entertainment. Advance Sale group ticket prices are available for school groups through November, 14, 2014.

Be sure to stop by the Pacers Kiosk to learn more about how your school can participate in a fun, community-building FUNdraiser. The first 5 teachers to stop by will win FREE tickets to a future Pacers game! A five-minute conversation could earn your school more than good grades!

How to Order International Festival Education Days Tickets: The Nationalities Council offers field trip opportunities and a special school price to educators on Thursday, November 20th and Friday, November 21st from 10am - 2pm. We suggest grades 1-8 attend Thursday and grades 9-12 visit Friday. Home school families or smaller school groups may also attend on Friday after 2pm. Groups attending Friday after 2pm MUST PRESENT THEIR DISCOUNT TICKETS BY 5pm. The special school rate is $3.50 per person. Please remember to include teachers & chaperones in your overall count as these tickets are only available in advance. We will provide one complimentary ticket for every 15 tickets you purchase.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK
The 2014 International Festival dates are in the same month as “International Education Week”, an annual program sponsored by the US State Department. For additional information about “International Education Week” check their website at http://iew.state.gov/

STUDENT PASSPORT PROGRAM
Students and teachers explore their ethnic roots and interact with people from various cultures as part of the Festival's education outreach program during special hours on Thursday & Friday. The Nationalities Counil of Indiana provides students with a Student Passport which students present at the Culture Booths throughout the day. By displaying knowledge of the country’s currency, language, customs and traditions, students collect stamps in their Student Passports. One International Festival Student Passport will be included for each "Education Days" student ticket purchased
